138th year of Kieler Woche

Germany’s Kiel Week is a prominent event on the Olympic class circuit, and the 2019 edition attracted six of the 10 events for Tokyo 2020 with the strongest fields in the Men’s and Women’s Two Person Skiff (June 26-30). Logan Dunning Beck/ Oscar Gunn (NZL) topped the 82-boat 49er fleet with Ian Barrows/ Mitchell Kiss (USA) leading the 12-team North American contingent in 28th. Victoria Jurczok/ Anika Lorenz (GER) won the 53-boat 49erFX fleet with Paris Henken/ Anna Tobias (USA) finishing 21st as the better of the two North American squads. Details/Results.
