Tropical Night at the Duck Dodge

Published on August 14th, 2019

The Duck Dodge sets a high bar for midweek racing, now a tradition for 45 years on Lake Union in Seattle, WA. Each week there’s a theme… on August 13 it was Tropical Night.

“We had a 60 boat raft-up this week, and after passing the 48 Degrees North beer raft, all the race virgins had to traverse the whole raft-up kissing each boat skipper (or mast, which no-one does),” reports Mike McGuane. “Our three drivers (two men and a lady) were comparing notes and each got several dozen kisses.”

Next week is Great Gatsby Night… got to love it!
