Commodore’s Cup at Star Winter Series

Published on December 8th, 2019

The Commodore’s Cup, the second event in the Star Winter Series, was held December 7-8 in Miami, FL. While light winds on day one only allowed for one race, the wind strengthened to 14 knots on the final day to permit the 22-boat fleet to complete three more races. A UFD in Race 3 marred an otherwise stellar event for Scuttlebutt Sailing Club’s Andrew Macdonald/ Brad Nichol, dropping them to fourth while William Swigart/ Andriy Shafranyyk (above) claimed the win.
