Registration open for Optimist Worlds

Riva del Garda, Italy (January 18, 2020) – The registration is now open for one of the most anticipated events of the 2020 youth sailing calendar, the Optimist World Championship, almost six months before the regatta to be held July 1-11, 2020. The registration and measurement activities will start on Wednesday, July 1 and will continue until the next day, when the event will officially open with the inaugural ceremony.

The racing action gets underway on Friday with the qualifying series that will lead to the division of the athletes into the Gold and Silver fleets. Those who will qualify into the Gold Fleet, will then compete to find out who will succeed Marco Gradoni in the golden books of the Optimist World Champions. The Team Race World Championship will take place on Monday July 6 and Tuesday July 7.

Registration must be completed by May 15, 2020.
