Small boats set for Puerto Vallarta Race

San Diego, CA (March 4, 2020) – Twenty-nine teams plan to compete in the 2020 San Diego to Puerto Vallarta International Yacht Race, with three staggered starts on March 5-7 for the 1,000nm course from San Diego, USA to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

The 35th edition begins tomorrow with the ORR-6 fleet as crew on a Beneteau Figaro 2, Cal 40, Capri 37, Hobie 33, and a 1D35 line up off the south end of Shelter Island for the course out of San Diego Bay and across the border down the Baja Peninsula. Northwest winds at 11 knots are expected for the noon start.

Additional starts will have ORR-3,4,5 on March 6 and ORR-1,2 on March 7.
