When life gives you lemons…

Published on March 20th, 2020

While the world reacts to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kai Yves tweaked the lyrics to a favorite song:

So everything’s cancelled
And everywhere’s packed-up
Can’t even bear to to turn on the TV
Keeping it solo, with nowhere to go, no
I really wanted to watch SailGP
Stuck at home and I’m playing “Margaritaville”
Dreamin’ about those days of sunshine and salt
Some people crow ‘bout the TP they stole
But my god—
You don’t need fifty rolls!

We all know the reason
‘Cause it’s virus season
I’m suddenly glad I stocked up on frozen fruit
‘Cause still I’ve got smoothies
And the music’s groovy
So if I need citrus a piña colada will do
Stuck at home and I’m playing “Margaritaville”
Dreamin’ about those days of sunshine and salt
I was so jived for A-Ceeee-Seven-Fives
But I know
It’s not really their fault

Can’t go to the yacht club
‘Cause everything’s closed up
No sailing today ‘cause we’re all stuck at home
But old vids and memoirs
Can voyages render
And with tropic tunes I can still sing along
Stuck at home and I’m playing “Margaritaville”
Trying to tune out that ol’ virus fear
Scuttlebutt page says it’s all skunked today
But I know
I can party right here
