Sailing La Vagabonde – Episode 242

Despite beginning with no previous sailing experience, Australian couple Riley Whitelum and Elayna Carausu have been documenting their journey traveling the world by sail.

Since late 2014 they’ve been sharing their adventures on the Sailing La Vagabonde YouTube channel as they’ve crossed the Mediterranean, Atlantic, Caribbean, and Pacific Ocean.

Welcome back to Europe! In this episode we map out our trip down Portugal’s coast, to get La Vagabonde to Lagos for a haul out. Meet Andre, a patron who we met whilst in Lisbon. We were lucky enough to have him onboard to help us sail, because we’re still a little tired from the North Atlantic crossing. Having a natural sailor who knew the local area and spoke the language definitely made things easier. Enjoy!
