Live from Zoom: Rome Kirby and Kimo Worthington

Scuttlebutt Sailing News editor Craig Leweck meets up with Rome Kirby and Kimo Worthington of the United States SailGP Team on US Sailing’s Starboard Portal.

Rome Kirby is one of the best American sailors of his generation, America’s Cup winner Rome Kirby is the Helmsman and CEO of the United States SailGP Team. A native of Newport, Rhode Island, Kirby has competed in two America’s Cup and two Volvo Ocean Race campaigns and recently placed 3rd at the 2018 Moth World Championship.

Kimo Worthington joined the United States SailGP Team as General Manager for the 2020 season and brings with him a wealth of championship management experience to the team, including nine America’s Cup and Volvo Ocean Race campaigns, and one of the only American sailors to have won both.
