Countdown to the Prada Cup

The PRADA Cup – the Challenger Selection Series – will begin January 15 to select which of the three challenging teams will take on the Defender Emirates Team New Zealand in the 36th America’s Cup Match in March 2021.

The racing will consist of four round robin sessions, with the winner qualifying for the PRADA Cup Final. The remaining two teams will then compete in a first-to-four point PRADA Cup semi-final, with the winner also qualifying for the PRADA Cup Final. The first-to-seven-points PRADA Cup Final starts on February 13 with the final day, if needed, on February 24.

Live coverage will run for two hours daily, starting at 3pm local tome for the Round Robins and Semi-Final, and then moving to 4pm local for the PRADA Cup Final.

36th America’s Cup
In addition to Challenges from Italy, USA, and Great Britain that were accepted during the initial entry period (January 1 to June 30, 2018), eight additional Notices of Challenge were received by the late entry deadline on November 30, 2018. Of those eight submittals, entries from Malta, USA, and the Netherlands were also accepted. Here’s the list:
