2020-21 Bacardi Winter Series #2

The second event of the 2020-21 Bacardi Winter Series was held January 22-24 in Miami, FL. The 11 Melges 24s had a three day schedule whereas the 20 J/70s were to race on the later two days, but neither fleet got in any racing on the final day due to a lack of wind.

Topping the J/70 fleet was Ryan McKillen by a point over Margaret McKillen while Bora Gulari also took victory by a point over Laura Grondin.

The presence of COVID-19 has redefined the Bacardi event management. All participants were required to submit negative COVID-19 tests in a 72 hour window prior to the start of the event, with virtual skippers meeting, contact-less lunch pack pick up, the cancellation of all social events and one-way boat park routing to support social distancing.
