PHOTOS: American Magic is back

Auckland, New Zealand (January 27, 2021) – America’s Cup challenger American Magic returned to the water today after repairing PATRIOT which incurred damage during the opening set for the Prada Cup Challenger Selection Series.

After a strong gust launched the boat during their race against Luna Rossa on January 17, the landing and ensuing capsized opened the hull and flooded the gear. But following a massive recovery effort, the USA team will return when competition begins January 29.
