Published on March 22nd, 2021

(March 22, 2021) – After their start on March 20, Roy Disney’s team on his modified Volvo 70 Pyewacket 70 hardly had time to brush their teeth along the route from Newport Beach, CA to Cabo San Lucas, MEX. Their finish today at 10:22:56 covered the 800nm course in 01:21:22:53, shattering the previous monohull record set in 2005 by Doug Baker’s Magnitude 80 of 02:13:25:58. Disney’s team could sweep the results with elapsed, class, and overall wins.
