Rough start for J/70 North Americans

Annapolis, MD (May 12, 2021) – It was not the beginning the 59 entrants had hoped for on day one of the 2021 J/70 North American Championship. In light and difficult conditions, the first attempt at race one was abandoned after the first lap, with the second attempt completed, though with half the fleet missing the time limit, and later deemed unfair and not scored. With racing planned for May 12-15, a better forecast tomorrow offers hope to complete the minimum of five races needed to constitute a championship.
