Published on June 1st, 2021

The Notice of Series for the 2021-22 SORC Islands in the Stream Series is available and entries are open. Open to any keelboat or multihull of 30′ LOA or larger, the five event circuit along southeast Florida and Bahamas will use ORC handicaps for fully-crewed and double-handed monohulls and MOCRA handicaps for multihulls.

This season’s series begins with the Nassau Cup Race on November 11 and the Wirth M. Munroe Palm Beach Race on December 3, then the New Year kicks off with the 46th Annual Ft. Lauderdale to Key West Race on January 20, followed by the Chris Morris Memorial Eleuthera Race on February 23.

Finally, one of the alternate courses developed for last season has become the final race of the season, the Sailors’ Choice Race on March 18. Competitors will start and finish in Ft. Lauderdale with a Series Awards Party at the Lauderdale Yacht Club, having raced around Great Isaac, Bimini, Gun/Cat Cays and the Ocean Cay and Miami Sea Buoy in that order or the inverse, whichever they choose.
