2021 Sunfish North American Championship

Conner Blouin (above) won the 2021 Sunfish North American Championship held June 11-13 in Mooresville, NC. Blouin topped the 83-boat fleet in what was the largest Sunfish event in a decade, posting all top six scores through the 8-race series. The conditions on Lake Norman tested the sailors’ mettle in moderately brisk breeze and patience-straining lulls, often in the same race. Jose Hernandez nearly matched Blouin’s consistency, finishing two points off the lead in second. Completing the top five was Mike Ingham, Caterina Romero, and Eugene Schmitt. – Details
