Griffin holds lead at Thistle US Nationals

Cleveland, OH (August 4, 2021) – The 2021 Thistle US National Championship transitioned into the championship stage as the top 40 teams vie for 75th title. With two races held in mostly 7-10 knots, Samuel Ingham and Ed Adams earned the low scores for the day to move up to second and third, respectively, but Greg Griffin with Mark Reddaway and Amy Thompson maintain a nine point lead with two days remaining.

With 96 teams competing, the series scores in the 40-boat Championship Division will be the total of all their race scores, including the qualifying races, with no races excluded. The series scores for boats in the President’s Division will be the total of their race scores, excluding the qualifying races, with no other races excluded.

Racing is being held on August 2-6.
