Match Racing: Attracting and Cultivating

Bruce Stone, St. Francis Yacht Club Match Racing Chair, is joined by a panel of skippers, umpires and organizers to review the California Dreamin’ Series history, organization, highlights and what to watch for on the water.

The California Dreamin’ Series is a high-level match racing event held over three weekends at St. Francis, Long Beach and San Diego Yacht Clubs. The first stop of the 2021 3-stage series was held in August at the St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco, CA.

The best two of three event scores for each skipper will determine the winner – who earns a berth to the prestigious Ficker Cup and a path to the Congressional Cup, the longest continuously running (after the America’s Cup) premier match race event in the world.
