Banning trans girls from female sports

The U.S. state of Texas has passed a bill which is likely to result in a law banning transgender girls and women from participating in female school sports. Seven other American states have initiated similar laws, which would apply to public school teams, as part of a nationwide campaign to protect fair competition. Sports organizations across the world, including the International Olympic Committee, have grappled with the issue of rules for transgender athletes in recent years. – Full report
