Penultimate day at Junior Pan Am Games

Cali, Colombia (December 3, 2021) – The second day at the Junior Pan American Games had lead changes in two of the events while the pecking order gets firm in two others.

Charlotte Rose (USA) increased her lead with two more races in the ILCA 6 while Juan Pablo Cardozo (ARG) took the lead in the ILCA 7 with a 2-1, though only on countback with Chilean Clement German Seguel Lacamara.

In the iQFoil, Mariana Aguilar Chavez Peon (MEX) has been unbeatable, winning all three races today to add to her picket fence on the scoreboard. In the men’s division, Marcos Quiroga (ARG) had the form today with a 3-1-1, dropping Alexander Temko (USA) down to second.

Racing concludes tomorrow.

The Junior Pan Am Games is for athletes in the Americas aged 18 to 23, with Sailing one of the 39 sports featured at the inaugural event with racing held December 2-4 on Lake Calima.
