J/70 World Championship in Monaco

The 2022 J/70 World Championship has attracted 90 international teams from 23 nations for racing on October 18-22 in Monaco. Anglo-Saxons will be out in force with a dozen American boats and no fewer than seven British teams. Peter Duncan (USA) will be looking to repeat his 2021 title with his winning crew Willem van Waay, Morgan Trubovich, and Victor Diaz de Leon, while third place finisher Laura Grondin also has her same team to claim the title. The single fleet for the overall title has subdivisions for One Pro (only one professional aboard) and Corinthian (amateur). – Details
