VIDEO: Coasties come to the rescue

The US Coast Guard put their training to use when they receive a call on March 14, 2023 from a solo skipper of a ‘weathered’ sailing vessel 17 miles offshore of Dulac, Louisiana. After injuring his shoulder, he had the coasties come to his rescue, with an aircrew pulling him from his problems and provided transport to University Medical Center in New Orleans, LA.
