Whitecap: The Canadian Sailing Podcast

In partnership with Sail Canada, David Cripton hosts a podcast series focusing on Canadian sailing called Whitecap, with this two-part episode featuring multi-class champion Luke Ramsay and his 2023 Pan Am Games team of Jessica Hirschbold (29er World Youth Championship participant) and Rachel Green (2023 Canadian Intercollegiate National Champion )

They explain how they put together a team at the last minute, and with the help of the very helpful Lightning fleet, were able to learn enough to win the Pan Am games trials.

As one of the most successful multi-class Canadian sailors of the 2000s, Ramsay was the representative in the 470 class at the 2012 Olympics with Mike Leigh, and the Nacra 17 in 2016 with Nikola Girke. Also, he won the 2006 World Youth Championships in Lasers and is a two-time Pan Am medalist in the Sunfish Class.
