Middle day at J/70 World Championship

St. Petersburg, FL (November 2, 2023) – The middle day of the 2023 J/70 World Championship had 22 knots of breeze for the 83 teams, with Tom Mallindine and Charlie Thompson’s Brutus III (GBR) dominating the day with a 2-1 to move up into second place overall.

With a discard after six of the 10 races completed, Brutus III trails leader Peter Duncan’s Relative Obscurity (USA) by two points after they posted a 6-5 today.

Andres Ducasse’s Ducasse Sailing Team (CHI) moved atop the 28-boat Corinthian Division.

With racing on October 31-November 4, the field has 14 nations competing from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Germany, Great Britain, Mexico, Monaco, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the USA.
