2024 U.S. Singlehanded Championship

The 2024 U.S. Singlehanded Championship partnered with the Aero North American Championship held September 6-8 in Richmond, CA. With a variation of light and heavy air conditions and strong current, the competition had a nine-race series with seven women in the Aero 5 division and 17 men in the Aero 7 division.

In the RS Aero 7 division, Dan Falk edged out one of his training partners, Jay Renehan, by one point and his other, Keith Hammer, by eight. Falk earn the coveted O’Day Trophy.

In the RS Aero 5 division, Robyn Ratcliffe of Australia held off second place finisher, Melissa Hale, by three points. Hale, as the top American finisher in the fleet, earned the Hanley Trophy.

“Fortunately for me, the conditions were mostly really heavy and really challenging, which is what I like,” said Hale.
