Top NGBs have vacant leadership posts

Help wanted: A national governing body CEO.
For a handful of the organizations that lead sports in the Olympic and Paralympic movement, the post-Games period has been filled with leadership transitions.
Four have openings for their top jobs, with USA Swimming, U.S. Figure Skating, US Sailing, and USA Badminton looking for CEOs. And two more — USA Volleyball and USA Water Polo — recently filled those roles.
While it might seem like a carousel of transition, those in and around the movement see it as a standard level of churn at this point in the quadrennial life cycle.
US Sailing announced in August that CEO Alan Ostfield would transition to an advisory role. He joined the NGB in 2021 after spending nine years at Live Nation and previously serving as president and CEO of the Detroit Pistons and Palace Sports & Entertainment.
Newly elected US Sailing President Henry Brauer said the organization has a search committee, which has interviewed four firms but is still conducting due diligence before recommending one to the board. He anticipates the search will take three to four months. – Full report
