Schedule set for Sailing Grand Slam

Published on December 22nd, 2024

The new Sailing Grand Slam (SGS) continues to take shape, with a new website launched and the initial Notice of Race published for 2025, the first year of the series.

As athletes and teams gear themselves up for the next Olympic cycle, which culminates with the Los Angeles 2028 Games, the dates are now in place for five events in 2025.

Following the announcement of the circuit, the launch of SGS website opens a common, standardized platform for event registration and documentation. The notice board section includes the publication of the first SGS Notice of Race, consisting of a common section that will apply to all regattas (except Kieler Woche, which will be added later), and a section dedicated to event-specific information.

The Sailing Grand Slam consists of the four most iconic Olympic sailing events in Europe as well as a new regatta to be held in the host city of Los Angeles 2028:

• Trofeo Princesa Sofía Mallorca (Mallorca, Spain): March 28-April 5
• Semaine Olympique Française (Hyères, France): April 19-26
• Kieler Woche (Kiel, Germany): June 21-29
• Long Beach Olympic Classes Regatta (Long Beach, USA): July 12-20
• Dutch Water Week (Almere, The Netherlands): September 17-21
