Schedule set for World Sailing Champs

World Sailing has confirmed the dates for the 2027 World Sailing Championships which brings together the Olympic events every four years for their Class World Championships.
Bringing together all 10 Olympic sailing disciplines alongside Para Inclusive Sailing events, the 2027 World Sailing Championships will be staged across two venues. Fortaleza, Brazil, will host the first regatta of the championships on January 15-23 with the second stage on July 22-August 1 in Gdynia, Poland.
Fortaleza, the coastal capital of Ceará, will stage the one-person events – Men’s and Women’s Windsurfing, Kite, Dinghy – and Para Inclusive categories.
The two-person events – Men’s and Women’s Skiff, Mixed Dinghy, and Mixed Multihull – as well as Para Inclusive events will then take center stage in Gdynia on the Baltic coast, as part of the annual Gdynia Sailing Days festival.
The World Sailing Championships is also traditionally a qualifying event for nations to gain entry into the Olympic Games.
