Underwear and other regatta necessities

Dave Dellenbaugh, member of the 2025 Class of the National Sailing Hall of Fame, provides his regatta checklist in WindCheck magazine:

When you pull out of the yacht club parking lot on your way to a big regatta, do you start to panic and wonder what you’ve left behind? That usually happens to me. I remember driving to Florida a few years ago and realizing I’d forgotten to pack any underwear.

Fortunately, that problem was easily solved with a quick trip to the local department store. But ever since then, to avoid more critical oversights, I’ve kept a checklist of things to bring, and provide here my generic list. I’m sure you will think of additional items, which is why I’ve left some blank spaces. And even though this list is primarily for one-designs, it can be modified for any size boat. – Full report
