Russian saga ends for 1992 America’s Cup

The yacht Age of Russia, which was built to compete in the 1992 challenger trials for the America’s Cup, was demolished November 7 when a storm weather hit San Diego, CA. While the IACC yacht was never allowed to race in 1992, its demise occurred near that race course when it lost anchorage and waves pulverized it on Coronado’s Central Beach. Full story.
