Ireland all in for America’s Cup benefit

Irish government officials report that Cork has been shortlisted to host the 37th America’s Cup in 2024, claiming the event will deliver an economic benefit of at least €1bn (1.18bn USD) over three years. Cork is currently vying with Valencia in Spain, which hosted the 2007 and 2010 editions. The venue announcement is expected to come by late September. – Full report
