When I look back on all the racing I’ve done, some of my most memorable experiences have come from round robin series. I have always been a fan of the one-design concept where, in theory at least, you test the sailor and not the boat. By requiring all competitors to sail the same boats, round robin racing takes this idea to the ultimate.

In order to be successful at a round robin format, you need a good blend of skills in preparation and strategy. Following are some ideas on how to maximize your performance.
