Survived 16 months adrift at sea

An emaciated man survived 16 months adrift at sea, eating turtles, birds and fish and drinking turtle blood, having floated up to 12,870km from Mexico to a remote Pacific atoll. Mexican Jose Ivan was found Thursday (Jan. 30) in ragged underpants on the Ebon Atoll, where he had washed up in his 24-ft fibreglass boat. He had had set off from Mexico to El Salvador on a shark fishing trip, but was carried away by currents. His colleague died during the ordeal. Click here for full story.
