US Sailing selects Nevin Snow for Youth Match Racing Worlds

US Sailing has selected Nevin Snow (San Diego, CA) to represent the U.S. as skipper at the inaugural ISAF Youth Match Racing World Championship, July 22-27, 2014, in Helsinki, Finland. Snow and his team from Georgetown are the current Intercollegiate Match Racing National Champions.

The 2014 Youth Match Racing Worlds will include teams from 16 countries, with sailors all under 23 years old. Racing will be in J/80’s. Snow’s team for the championship will be Jake La Dow (San Diego, CA / St. Mary’s College), Graham Landy (Norfolk, VA / Yale University), Katia Da Silva (Newport, RI / Georgetown University) and John Wallace (St. Petersburg, FL / St. Mary’s College).

As preparation for the Worlds, Snow’s team intends to compete in the Governor’s Cup, an international youth match race in Newport Beach, California, and in the World University Games on Lake Garda in Italy.
