‘Life at the Extreme – the Series’ premiers on NBCSN this Sunday

‘Life at the Extreme – the Series’ premiers on NBCSN this Sunday, October 26 at 1:00 P.M. ET. This year the Volvo Ocean Race is bringing the team and their crews to life by showing you every step of their journey along the way in this television series.

It all begins this Sunday with a special 90-minute segment highlighting the race start in Alicante at the beginning of October. The adventure continues with them as they race 38,000 miles from country to country around the globe.

NBCSN will present 20 hours of coverage of the 2014-15 Volvo Ocean Race. Following the debut on Sunday, NBCSN will telecast 30-minute highlight shows, each weekend, throughout the nine months of the race. See the schedule below to know when to tune in.

The series will follow Team Alvimedica (USA/Turkey) with the remainder of the fleet – Team SCA (Sweden), Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing (Abu Dhabi), Dongfeng Race Team (China), Team Brunel (Netherlands),Team Vestas Wind (Denmark), and Team MAPFRE (Spain). The race features a 38,739 nautical-mile course that will take the boats from Alicante, Spain through Cape Town, South Africa; Abu Dhabi, UAE; Sanya, China; Auckland, New Zealand; Itajai, Brazil; Newport, Rhode Island; Lisbon, Portugal; and Lorient, France. The race concludes on June 27, 2015 in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The series will contain stories from the sailors out at sea delivered by the seven talented OBR’s.
