Now in its ninth season, the Extreme Sailing Series™ will see a field of eight Extreme 40 teams compete August 20-23 on the River Neva in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

The 2015 Extreme Sailing Series is an eight event tour travelling through Asia, Europe, and Australia, where teams compete using the evenly-matched one design Extreme 40 catamaran on short-course tracks in front of the public.

Against the stunning backdrop of the Winter Palace, the sixth event of 2015 will be taking on the challenging conditions that the River Neva will be throwing at them – one of the smallest city centre racecourses on the Extreme Sailing Series circuit, with shifty and sometimes punchy winds and strong currents it has been described by the teams as the toughest track on the tour.

Commentary and expert insight into the racing will be from Land Rover Global Brand Ambassador, Hannah White, and Extreme 40 veteran and former Series winner, Pete Cumming. LIve coverage includes a multi-camera feed and onboard camera, as well as analytics from technical partner SAP. Additionally, a separate graphics feed is provided for the duration of racing.
