Ten countries compete in Caribbean Laser Midwinters

Sailors from 10 countries experienced the full range of winds in the 12th Caribbean Laser Midwinter Regatta, held in Cabarete, Dominican Republic on January 17-19, 2014. Four of the ten races held inside the bay, with buoys close to shore and the public, to the benefit of the sponsors. The in-bay races included long reaching legs that allowed non-sailing audience to follow the race from the beach and cheer when boats were trading positions while surfing down waves.
