U.S. Optimist Team Trials

One hundred ninety-three sailors competed in the U.S. Optimist Team Trials, an event that qualifies sailors to represent the U.S. at International and Continental championship. Hosted by Pewaukee Yacht Club (WI) on May 2-5, Shawn Harvey won in a series dominated by his Coral Reef Yacht Club members, with CRYC taking five of the top ten slots. Breaking into the top ten, and tops from the west coast, was Romain Screve from San Francisco in third. – Results
