Starck leads Lightning Worlds

Castiglione del Lago, Italy (June 12, 2013) – The Lightning World Championship started June 10, with 46 boats from 10 different countries competing on Lake Trasmineo. Light winds on Monday allowed for only one race, with sufficient yet shifty winds on Tuesday allowing for two races to be completed. No races were held on Wednesday due to light winds. American David Starck, sailing with his wife Jody and longtime crew Ian Jones hold a nine-point lead after posting a 3-1-1. Racing continues Thursday and concludes Friday. – Results
