After several months undergoing studies and the build process, the first French C-Class, that goes by the name of Groupama C, carried out her very first sea trial on August 8 offshore of Lorient, her port of registry.
After the initial reassuring sea trial, Groupama C is spending more time out on the water offshore of Lorient in the hands of Franck Cammas and Louis Viat.
Designed by Groupama sailing team’s design office with the help of recognised architects Guillaume Verdier, Martin Fisher and Benjamin Muyl and built at nearby Multiplast, Groupama C will continue with her tuning-up period throughout August before heading off in September for the World Championship for the series in Falmouth, England.
