Finn Gold Cup – Day 1

Tallinn, Estonia (August 26, 2013) – The opening day of racing at the 2013 Finn Gold Cup started slowly with light winds and a delayed start. Racing was postponed for two hours Monday morning to wait for the wind, which when it did arrive was still only 5-7 knots for race 1, increasing to 7-8 knots by the finish. After two races Andrew Mills (GBR) leads the 86-boat field with Ed Wright (GBR) and Matt Coutts (NZL) in second and third. Top North America was Greg Douglas (CAN), sitting in 32nd after posting a 29-32. – Full report
