Conditions remain excessive for Mini Transat fleet

Douarnenez, France (October 20, 2013) – The 84-boat Mini Transat fleet remains on standby, with the weather in the Bay of Biscay and along the coast of Portugal remaining too excessive for the 6.50m Mini Class singlehanders. There is the possibility of a weather window opening towards the end of the week.

Original Schedule
October 13 – Leg 1: Douarnenez to Arrecife (Lanzarote), 1200 miles. Arrival in the Canary Islands between October 23 and 26.
November 9 – Leg 2: Arrecife to Pointe a Pitre, 2800 miles. Arrival in Guadeloupe between November 23 and 30.
