Lack of wind at VX ONE Midwinter Championship

Tampa, FL (February 2, 2014) – Lawrence Frost and his Flash Gordon crew won the first day of the VX ONE Midwinter Championship, and that was all they needed to earn the title. Hosted by the Davis Island Yacht Club in Tampa, Florida, two races were completed Friday, but a lack of breeze prevented racing on Saturday and Sunday. Frost, of Metairie, LA, notched a second and a first to total 3 points in the 15-boat fleet. David Reich on USA135 took second place with 5 points, and Rob Doolittle’s The Spaniard third with 6 points.
