North American Windsurfing Championships

Held at Cancun, Mexico, 70 competitors from 8 countries took part in the North American Windsurfing Championships for the RS:X and Techno 293 Classes on February 20-23. The winner in the T293, which is a popular youth board, was Maximo Nores (USA). Winning the divisions for the Olympic RS:X board was Demita Vega (MEX) in the 8.5 rig and Ricardo Santos in the 9.5 rig. Full report.
