Transpac Goes Green

(April 1, 2014) – The Transpacific Yacht Club announced the 2015 Transpac Race from Los Angeles to Honolulu will be the first major offshore race to “Go Green.” No running engines from the preparatory signal to the finish off Diamond Head. “With modern low draw electronics, water makers, refrigeration, and LED lights, when combined with inexpensive high output solar panels, low drag water generators, and efficient wind generators, we can eliminate the noise and pollution created by diesel engines.
