Ocean rescue family sues phone company

A San Diego couple that made national news in April when they, their sick baby and another young daughter were rescued nearly 1,000 miles of the coast of Mexico are suing a satellite phone company for their losses, contending their phone service was wrongly cut when they needed it most. In the lawsuit, the family contends that if they hadn’t lost satellite phone service, they might not have sounded the alarm that brought the Coast Guard to their rescue and resulted in their ship being sunk.
