Sailing, Sun, and Satisfaction

Virgin Gorda, BVI (October 28, 2014) – Bright skies and Caribbean tradewinds in the low double digit range greeted the seven professional sailors invited to compete in the Bitter End Yacht Club’s 28th Annual Pro Am Regatta. Although the winds lightened for the afternoon races, that obviously didn’t matter one bit to Dave Perry, who reveled in all conditions.

Sailing in a matched fleet of IC24s with guests of the BEYC as crew, Perry holds a five point lead over Dave Ullman, with former Olympic Silver medallist Zach Railey seven points further back in third place. After Wednesday’s lay day, four more fleet races are scheduled for Thursday to determine who will qualify for Friday’s match racing finals.

Results after eight races:
1. Dave Perry, 19
2. Dave Ullman, 24
3. Zach Railey, 31
4. Taylor Canfield, 32
5. Anthony Kotoun, 35
6. Stephanie Roble, 39
7. Alec Anderson, 44
