Highlight Show: Monsoon Cup 2014/15

Published on March 6th, 2015

Heading into the Grand Finale, the Monsoon Cup Malaysia on February 10-14, Williams leads the charge six points ahead of Taylor Canfield of US One and with Mathieu Richard’s LunaJets in striking distance a further 8 points back. With a new venue at the southern tip of Malaysia, the competition will be all on from the start, adapting to the new venue and trying to keep the psychological edge.

British skipper Ian Williams and his GAC Pindar team will be chasing their fifth World Championship title, which would surpass the joint record holder, Australian Peter Gilmour, also with four titles. However, Williams will have his work cut for him as just 36 points separate the top 5 skippers on the current Alpari Tour leaderboard, meaning that all 5 are in contention for the title. It’s all to play for at the Monsoon Cup 2014 – Where Champions Are Made.
