VIDEO: Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing tackles the Southern Ocean

The 2014-15 Volvo Ocean Race has had an incredible first week in the infamous Southern Ocean as they tackle the fifth leg, from Auckland, NZL to Itajaí, Brazil (6,776 nm), which began March 18.

This video provide footage of current overall race leader Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing’s Azzam tackling strong winds amid 7-metre seas and setting a new top-speed of 37.5 knots in the process.
