Dinghy Distance Record Ratified

The Guinness World Records has ratified a new record for the longest singlehanded distance sailed in a dinghy by a male. Robert Suhay (USA) sailed 346.04 nm from Mooreheard City, North Carolina, USA, to Annapolis, Maryland, USA from June 30 to July 4, 2015 in a Laser dinghy. This improves upon the previous record of 283.5 nm that Suhay set in July 2014. The distance is measured over the ground using a GPS tracker.
