Mine is bigger than yours

If size matters, Dutch builder Royal Huisman is in the final stage of completion for the 279-foot Project 410 – the world’s largest sloop-rigged sailing yacht – at the shipyard’s facility in Vollenhove, the Netherlands.

Unveiled in 2022, the Frers Design is the largest project ever undertaken by Royal Huisman, surpassing the yards’ 266-foot Project 412 Sky. Project 410 is scheduled to leave the yard in November en route to the shipyard’s facility in Zaandam, where she will be launched.

Project 410 has been designed as a performance-oriented sailing yacht, with a hull form developed to house two decks around a single mast and a proportionally compact deckhouse. Relatively high freeboards provide privacy and protection, while her naval architecture incorporates low draft with high stability to allow the yacht to sail at low heel angles. – Full report
